Connect your AI to Cairn

Let your AI read and write this space.

Coding AI

Automatic

Reads your memory when a session starts, recalls before each prompt, and saves what happened when a turn ends.

Chat AI and others

Semi-automatic

Add a connector: it remembers when you say “remember” and reads when you ask about yourself.

What you can ask

  • What does the Claude Code collection on Cairn say about prompt caching costs?

Your AI asks Cairn. The answer uses only that collection's cards and cites each one it draws on.

  • Save this to Cairn: I found that …

Your AI drafts a card only you can see and shows it to you. It's published after you confirm.

  • What did I add to Cairn this week?

Your AI lists the newest cards in your collection.

  • Remember that I prefer answers in Traditional Chinese.

Cairn keeps it as a private memory with a note of where it came from. You can ask your AI to forget it.

Saving needs a collection to save into. First-time setup creates one; if you don't have one yet, create it in Settings → Collections.

Your data

A card your AI writes stays a private draft until you confirm it.

When you connect with the steps on this page, Cairn sees only what your AI sends to its tools. It doesn't read your chat history.

Your connections are listed in Settings → Connections. You can revoke an access token there. To disconnect a tool that signed in through a browser window, remove Cairn in that tool.

The privacy policy covers what Cairn stores and how to ask us to delete it.
